2006 BACCHUS EVENTS

2006 Christmas Function - December 2nd

Peninsula Hot Springs
Time: 10am - 11.00am
Cost: $35 - $45 per head for 30 - 50 min spa.

Lunch / Wine Tasting
T'Gallant Winery
Time: 11.30am - 2pm
Cost: $35 per head per adult +plus wine consumed Children approx $10 per head. We enjoyed the bistro menu at SpuntinoBar - pizza- anti pasta

Followed by,
Dessert at Sunnyridge Strawberry Farm. Choice of lots of desserts and can do picking as well cost based on consumption
Time: 2pm - 3pm

Wine Tasting
at Tucks Ridge Winery
Time: 3pm - 5pm

September 7th
Bacchus Beer Night

James Squire Brewhouse
Venue: James Squire Brewhouse (aka the Portland Hotel),
cnr Russell & Lt Collins Streets, Melbourne
Time: 7:30pm
Theme: Beer

Cost: $15 - $30 depending on what, and how much, you eat & drink :-)

Details:

A space has been reserved for us below the main bar, beside the brewery (to your right as you enter the pub). We will start the night with a "tasting paddle" (for those driving, this is roughly equivalent to a pint) of the major Malt Shovel brews on tap. During the night we will have a personal guided tour of the brewery facilities and someone will talk with us about the beer we are drinking. Meals will be available from the menu and no set menu has been arranged to allow people to choose food to match their favourite beer from the tasting paddle (and to allow for a range of budgets).

Winter Solstice Annual Dinner
Mamma Vittoria
Smith St Collingwood

A total of 17 members and partners enjoyed the annual Winter Solstice dinner on Saturday 8th July at Mamma Vittoria in Smith St, Collingwood. If you couldn't make it here is a little of what you missed out on. We had exclusive use of the upstairs area which included an open fire and couches for pre and post dinner drinks. The Meal was four courses and if you've forgotten what you had, here's a quick summary:

Two types of pasta and two sauces

Pollo ri pieno
Fish of the day
Steak fonartia

Dessert
Panna cotta with orange and perno

Coffee/Tea

Those with dietary requirements were fully catered for so Richard was a happy man!

A big thank you goes to Niall and Sean for organising a very memorable event.
