Bacchus Wine and Food Appreciation Society was established
to provide an social medium for friends to discuss wine, participate
in tastings and compare notes on rare and unusual vintages from
around the world.
Although predominantly focussing on Australian and
International wines, Bacchus also organises tastings for beers and
ales as well as indulging in gourmet food and coffee either designed
to complement the wine or just enhance the experience. Bacchus is
all about enjoying the finer things in life!
Bacchus members meet usually on the first Thursday of each month
at pre-arranged venues, from members homes to new and unusual restaurants
and bars around Melbourne.
Bacchus regularly schedules tasting events and family activities,
and touring the local wine regions has become an annual event! The
Bacchus wine cellar has benefited from these outings and has grown
to include a wide variety of delectable Australian wine varieties.
A complete list of wines stored in the Bacchus Wine Cellar may be
viewed here.
Please note: Bacchus is a private club and membership is
by invitation by a current member only.
